GV9 - 2009"A GV9 is one of the worst nightmares ever invented and when one of our trailers was ordered Off the Road with a GV9 it caused us no end of trouble. Vintage American Trailer Co where very quick off the mark. One phone call and they had arranged to collect the trailer, convert it to EU spec and present it for inspection. Needless to say it passed. Hiring trailers as we do we cannot afford for one of our trailers to be out of action. This trailer was due to be hired out again in 3 weeks. Pete said that it normally takes 6 weeks for the axles to be built and fitted but he thought they may have a pair that they could borrow from another job that was not due to leave their workshops for a while. The axles proved o be the right ones - lucky us. Their work is efficient and cost effective and we can only highly recommend both their work and their customer service as being the best we have ever found in this industry.

2007 American Fleetwood Travel Trailer
Restoration of a 'Showman’s Special' 2009"Dull and lackluster was the only polite way to describe this trailer when it arrived. Shipped off to Vintage American Trailers for a complete refurb. 9 months later and a pile of bills but it was well worth it. Our caravan now is not only a picture of its former glory but has all the modern facilities as well. The addition of a shower and toilet with running hot and cold water makes it a joy to use. All the modifications have be 'sympathetically' carried out and the result is it still looks like a 1960's trailer but with added Wow hidden away behind cupboard doors. We cannot thank the team at Vintage American Trailers enough. Pete for his expertise and craftsmanship, Kelvin for his dedication and Jenny for her amazing ability to work modern colours and ideas into a very 'retro' cabin......................Our first outing was such an event fielding endless questions from passers by. Even a stop for fuel was met with admirers deliberately walking past for a look on the way to pay for fuel.

British Caravan restoration 2008"Beautifully restored period caravan. Just the job for towing behind my 52 Ford Zephyr Six I was fed up with doing the classic shows towing my 2003 Euro box behind and used to try and hide it in a corner somewhere. Now I can display my rig with pride and I look forward to next years shows Very professional from acquisition to sale and, finally, restoration. Every step was handled efficiently and, while never loosing sight of my needs and requirements, you helped me make decisions that I didn't even know I needed to make or why I needed to make them. An amazing experience that has left me with a caravan that not only matches my pride and joy but I will enjoy living with for many years to come. Thank you guys"
Silver Streak Restoration 2008"Thank you so much. Having always dreamed of owning and using one of these silver bullets I bought this over five years ago but could not find anyone with the knowledge, experience and skills to return this caravan to its former glory before I met you guys. I can now enjoy this wonderful piece of American art to the full. It tows superbly, is easy to use and in spite of a complete refit has not lost any of the timeless charm of the true icon that it is. To walk through the door is to step back in time to 1940's America and easy to imagine that you are on some endless Highway lost in the beauty of Central America. (Except for the British weather and traffic!) I look forward to enjoying this caravan (sorry trailer) well into my retirement.
